Bob is the Incubator Manager of Bethesda Green, a nonprofit sustainability organization, where he provides managerial oversight and business support services to private sector companies and nonprofits that bring sustainable products and services to market. Bob has 25 years of experience in economic development in Montgomery County DED, Maryland DBED, Suburban Maryland Tech Council and as a consultant– supporting entrepreneurship, higher education and workforce development — with a focus on environmental, high tech and biotech industry sectors. He has been actively involved in the development of technology business incubators including feasibility studies and business plans for three successful incubators in Howard, Frederick and Montgomery counties. He is currently serving as President of the Maryland Business Incubation Association.

Michael S. Tumbarello, Vice President
Mike heads the Garrett Information Enterprise Center (GIEC) incubator and the Garrett Center for Entrepreneurship, which he founded, at Garrett College. Mike also assists with deal-flow generation and management for the Mountain Maryland Angel Investors Group (MMAIG), a group seeking to invest in start-ups in the mountain Maryland area. A former corporate executive and entrepreneur (leading four start-ups), and a seasoned consultant, Mike has been teaching marketing and strategy at the Carey Business School of Johns Hopkins University since 1999 and is also teaching at Garrett College in McHenry, Maryland. He specializes in teaching marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, innovation and product development and strategic management. He holds an MBA from New York University, and a Masters of Management from the University of Dallas. Mike is currently serving as Vice President of the Maryland Business Incubation Association.

Janice Riley, Treasurer
Janice Riley is the manager of HCC Technical Innovation Center, Washington County’s tech incubator, which houses wet labs, manufacturing floor space as well as office space, celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2014. She recently launched a startup community to foster entrepreneurship in the county. She is also the Vice President of the Washington CountyCommission for Women. Janice published two co-authored books last year: Breaking the Barriers and the Young Professional Woman, which provided the content for her consulting workshops she now facilitates around the region. She and her husband have also worked in the Dominican Republic and West Virginia helping to build homes and businesses, and empower people to become self-sustainable. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Shippensburg University. She currently serves as the Treasurer of MBIA.

Mike is the executive director for Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center (ESEC), a private-sector, non-profit organization having a mission to advance and develop the startup and entrepreneurial ecosystem throughout the eight counties of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. In this position, Mike plays a leadership role in ensuring that the Eastern Shore is connected to the rest of the Maryland statewide ecosystem of entrepreneurs, mentors, coaches, and investors. Mike has been instrumental in starting a network of coworking spaces, called hotDesks, which now has four locations throughout the region. These spaces serve as the backbone for the delivery of accelerator programs, business competitions, and numerous programs and events targeted to creating a stronger and better connected ecosystem. Mike is also part of a group kicking off the PinOak Capital investor group which is a result of the increased deal flow opportunities developing on the Eastern Shore.
