Maryland Incubators

Maryland incubators and coworking spaces provide the resources that young companies need to grow including: management guidance, technical assistance and consulting; flexible rental space; shared basic business services and equipment; virtual memberships; technology support services; and assistance in obtaining financing. The MBIA network provides its member companies with access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities coupled with educational programming. Incubators/coworking spaces can be found in both urban and rural communities of Maryland.

The business incubation models in Maryland also continue to evolve in response to the needs of the entrepreneurial community and the demands of the market place. Within the MBIA network you can find incubator models that foster engineering and technology companies and offer traditional office, or those that support life sciences companies and offer web lab space. You can also find coworking and accelerator models within the MBIA network that enable software, digital media, web and mobile app technology development. Whether you are in cleantech, medtech, biotech, agritech, aquatech, envirotech, mobile app development or cyber security, there is a Maryland incubator designed to meet your needs.

Incubators that are members of MBIA network, also provide their member companies with access to TEDCO’s business incubator assistance program. TEDCO funding enables MBIA member incubators/coworking spaces to enhance their services to member companies with the help of outside business consultants, entrepreneurial training, pro bono legal services, and networking and strategy planning with investors. In addition, MBIA members are well positioned to enhance a company’s success in seeking to obtain technology commercialization funding through TEDCO.
